and i finished playing chrono cross over the holidays! super glad that i finished it right on time (on sunday) before school started! seriously, ONE. OF. THE. BEST RPGs EVER!!!! the story was CRAZY in a good way with all those plot twists!

when fighting dario i brought riddel and glenn (was torn btw glenn and karsh but i'm glad i picked glenn because karsh tagged along for the cutscene storyline bit anywayPHEW) so they could talk and add to the storyline and the part where glenn goes: SUCH A SOBWORTHY LINE
and later when they're about to fight dario and riddel is like NOOO I CANNOT FIGHT DARIO and glenn is like I JUST MET BROTHER, I CAN'T FIGHT HIM!
...that was so sad as wellSOBB loved that sidequest cutscene with karsh and dario and glenn and riddel; no wait make that all the dario/masamune cutscenes!
the final boss was not so bad because i coincidentally managed to work the elements out in the sequence required to kill him without knowing it, haha! i found the boss before that harder though!

felt happy for all the demi-humans after that saving home!marbule sidequest! THOUGH DEFEATING THOSE LAGOONATES... was a very very tedious process. LOL i love how all the human guys were snagging these mermaid babes after marbule was saved CHRONOPOLIS! such a change after all the lovely beach/tropical looking settings oh and fort dragonia! somehow... an enchanting kind of place? but in a lonesome, dark kind of way. the first time i played this in secondary school, i WAS STUCK IN THIS STUPID MAZE FOR SO LONG DJSAKLDJKLSAJDKSLA;JDSLKA and finally after solving the thing, when fighting the blue blob, the psx cd would hangARGH i was so upset ): took forever to light up all the dragons i think this is the path on the way to the place where you fight the red elemental monster, and deactivate the red crystal?? with the "watchman facing north" puzzle. pretty cool pathway, with the "bottomless pit" kind of feeling! the atmosphere of the background matches the mood of the BGM really well i think
this is at terra tower. had to walk to the teleporting device, through the flight of talking people stairs and all that, 3 TIMES, for the time devourer WHICH TURNED OUT TO ONLY A SHADOW OF THE ACTUAL TIME DEVOURER IN THE ENDARGH

hmmmm didn't like this track very much initially because going through fossil valley was so tedious (therefore bad connotations when listening to this track??) but listening carefully you hear this guitar strum in the background and i-it's this really subtle magical feeling <3
this track exudes.... scotland for me?! but it's so merry and cheery and ahhh it's an enjoyable, apt track for such a cheery place like termina <3 <3 <3 too bad home!termina's BGM is the drowning valley track... i mean, after beating shadow cats and all that in the fossil valley and staying in there for so long, i-i'd think you'd want to listen to something else
voyage in another!world! didn't like the travelling music in another!world but the voyage one makes up for it <3 don't like the home!world voyage music; it has this rushed, cheesy loud kind of tone??/incoherant again
didn't care for this track much when listening to it on the computer but when watching nikki's performance and how the saving marbule plan came together, THIS TRACK BECAME ENJOYABLE (except when fighting all those lagoonates at one shotUGH)?! it's a funky mix of the original marbule tune (d-didn't expect that to be the song which would save the villageHAHA)

don't like this one very much because it has this creepy feeling, especially when you sneak into the viper mansion at night and you feel so sneaky yourself as you play the game but i suppose that's why this track is so effective and appropriate as BGM?!
speaking of creepy tracks, this is a one I quite like AND WILL PROBABLY REMEMBER FOREVER BECAUSE I WAS STUCK IN FORT DRAGONIA FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE FOREVERORZ. love the piano bits!

okok that's it. all in all i really enjoyed playing chrono cross! <3 it was a great way to waste pass time over the holidays (though i was rushing near the end to finish) and ahhh so relieved that i finished it right before school starts!
from what i understand, there're a whole bunch of different endings you can get if you replay the game again. i'm curious about them. may come back to play this again. the storyline, music, backgrounds, battle systems, characters; they all make it worthwhile to come back to the game!

THAT'S LIKE FIVE TIMES CHEAPER THAN THE REAL DEAL.
i really wanted to get a peach based kind of blusher for guys since i only have the pink blushers and those don't really look to great on guys/anyone in naturalist plays but guh there was no time to go back to Phuket Town. pirated makeup is dangerous though, so perhaps it's just as well i didn't get them? *still wistful*

but the hotel was really cool. they had these random pools of water. i think they named one "THE POOL OF ETERNITY" or something corny like that but it's really cool because when you look far out at the pool, it seems to stretch on forever. nothing obstructs the end of the pool, so it seems to stretch off towards the sky and the pool looks..... boundless!
one of the other pools they had. no one's allowed to swim in them though. it'll ruin the illusion of eternity i guess lD nnnnnnghh i love how the pool seems to have little fireballs floating about it!

this other nearby hotel had an entrance adorned with flaming torches at night. pretty awesome! when you walk past the entrance you feel warmth emitted from the torches.

when i was young, i was really into the solar system and all that stuff. i think it was partly totally due to my obsession with MAGIC SCHOOL BUS, OH MAN I LOVED THAT SHOW!! they even had computer games for the magic school bus franchise, and my dad got the solar system one for us! oh mannn i fell in love with the planets and the stars and everything after thatkds;;kds;akdsl;a ds;lad///////// my favourite planet used to be jupiter. i love the swirly marbley effects and the colour tones of the planet.

do you guys have certain images which stick in your mind? like ones you made up, or happened to see before, and they just have this certain impact on you? i do. i'm sure i must've seen it somewhere before, but this certain image involves being somewhere at sea, presumably at the mythical "end of the world". in this image the moon is really really big. it's almost like you're staring right at the moon, face to face. but halfway, the sea cuts off the moon, so you're staring at half the moon. all this takes place in a row boat, in the sea.
MANNN it's such a strange image but AHHDJSALDLS ADSA if a place like that really exists on earth, i would love to go see the moon like that. how magnificent would that be!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3
